Just after the church opened, British Pathe filmed a news reel item about it, Unfortunately there is no sound to the footage, nor was any script ever written to accompany it. The tower on the roof was intended to contain the working gear for a lift so that parishioners might be able to get to the first floor church more easily.
Today we celebrated the Golden Jubilee of The Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea Brixham.
